It certainly would have been difficult for Mary to believe that being pregnant before marriage could be a sign of God’s favor, yet she was told by an angel that she had found favor with God. It’s sometimes in the most difficult and unexplainable circumstances that God reveals His generosity and kindness. Christmas is the revelation and announcement of God’s ultimate generosity and kindness to us.
